Tool School 101 – Basic bike maintenance at Pete’s Garage
May 1, 2019 @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Pete’s Garage is offering FREE bike maintenance classes for everyone looking to keep his or her bike rolling smoothly this year! Each basic class will cover simple flat repair, changing a tire/tube, derailleur basics and adjustments, brake basics and adjustments and proper chain lubrication. We’ll also have a Q & A to get all your technical questions answered.
These classes are a fun way to better understand your bicycle, how it works and what to do if it needs adjustments during a ride. Plus, all students will receive 20% off in-stock tools, lubes, pumps and tubes at the night of the event!
These classes are targeted toward beginners, casual riders and weekend warriors. We’ll focus on bikes with standard components – brakes, derailleurs and tires/tubes – meaning hydraulic brake bleeding, electronic shifting, tubeless set-ups and the like won’t be covered in the 101 level class.
All students are encouraged to bring in a wheel from their bikes to better learn flat repair in a real-world environment. Some tire levers will be provided, but best to bring your own if you can.
Space is limited, so please RSVP by clicking “going” in the event.
